So it's been a few weeks since we blogged, so let me catch y'all up to speed! So two weeks ago, we left California and headed back to Alabama! It was 2300 miles home, and we made it in two days! We go home two Saturdays ago and were home for a week. While home we visited with friends and family, and also packed and repacked the car. Early last Sunday (10/9) morning, Hayley drove to my house and we left Montgomery around 4am and headed north to Connecticut. That drive was 1700 miles!!! We arrived to our hotel around midnight Monday morning, then had to turn around and be at work at 7am that morning! AAHH!!! So in all we drive 4000 miles in two weeks! Craziness right!!!!???? Well so far here in Connecticut we have worked every single day! We did get out of orientation early on Thursday and head over to our soon to be "hometown" of Wethersfield for a local Farmer's Market. While there we found Scarecrows on EVERY street corner! Today was our first day on the floor and it was actually a very good day. The doctor's put their own orders in the computer, so us nurses don't have to try and read their terrible handwriting and guess at what they are writing anymore!! AMAZING! Tomorrow we are going to move into the apt and then hopefully on Sunday head to Mystic Harbor
http://www.mysticseaport.org/ and
http://www.proseandphotos.com/mystic,_ct.htm for the day!
So not too much has been going on, but we are soo excited to start taking our trips up the Maine coast, and to New York, Boston, Salem, and Rhode Island! I've included a few pictures from both the California road trip and the Connecticut road trip. Enjoy :)
